Visit Us in
Chelsea Market

Visit Amy’s location in Chelsea Market, a city-block long building that was once the Nabisco Oreo factory and is now a food lovers’ paradise. This huge brick building, filled with interesting architectural details is a must-see for visitors and New Yorkers alike: a unique and fascinating mix of specialty food stores, home goods, a wine shop, a florist, cafes, and restaurants.

Opened in July of 1996, Amy’s Bread was one of the original businesses that established the market and helped to make it what it is today.  From 1996-2012 our storefront spanned the length of the bakery where you could see all our bread made by hand, from mixing to shaping to baking.

Today our store features racks filled with freshly baked bread, cases filled with breakfast pastries, scones, muffins, sticky buns, croissants, and biscuits.  In the morning we offer a selection of breakfast sandwiches and our handmade bagels, rolls, and twists.  We have excellent hot coffee and espresso beverages featuring Fonté coffee. Stop in for lunch and try our wide variety of sandwiches, many of them grilled.  We have cupcakes, layer cakes, bars and cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Our comfortable café has stools for dining in and we are happy to pack your order for a walk to the High Line, the perfect spot for a picnic—only one block away.  When you stop in, observe our Goddess of Bread, a replica of a painting from a famous bakery in Paris, carrying Amy’s Bread.  Take a few moments from your busy day to treat yourself at Chelsea Market.
