Amy’s Bread Opens Second Brooklyn Heights Location

The new location opened up last month at 72 Clark Street, joining their storefront in the southern end of the neighborhood at 311 Henry Street. Both locations offer bread, pastries, sandwiches, coffee and — important in this hot weather — cold drinks.

Founded in 1992 in Hell’s Kitchen by baker Amy Scherber, Amy’s Bread has six other locations, all in Manhattan. The newest one is just across from the Hotel St. George and the Clark Street subway station. It joins another Manhattan business to open a branch on the northern end of the neighborhood: Alice’s Teacup debuted at 43 Hicks Street earlier this summer.
