We are very fortunate to work in a bakery. Being surrounded by fresh-from-the-oven sweets and bread, while serving customers that are happily choosing their favorite treats, is a nice way to spend our days. But the best part of working at Amy’s Bread is the people: our loyal and talented staff. Running a bakery is a collaborative effort and we value the contribution of each individual - from the maintenance staff, bakers, sandwich makers, retail sales, drivers, to business office and management - each play an important role in our success.
When we first opened in 1992, we had no idea how long our employees would work with us or how much they would enjoy our congenial workplace. But over the years, many of the employees have become part of our “bakery family”, celebrating up to 17 years with us! We appreciate their commitment to work - putting their pride, love and attention to detail into everything they do.
On June 20, 2012 we celebrated our 20th Anniversary! Amy made sure to be at all three locations. We all wore T-shirts specially made to mark the occasion. We had cake for our staff and our customers, and offered 20% off to our customers. It was truly a happy day.
A BIG thanks to our loyal employees, as well as our customers (many have known us since we first opened). Amy's Bread looks forward to being NYC's neighborhood bakery for many more anniversaries!!!
